PM Meets GD MPs, Complains of Lack of Coordination
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 8 Dec.'12 / 19:40

PM Bidzina Ivanishvili met with lawmakers from his Georgian Dream coalition, which makes up the parliamentary majority group, and discussed need for, as he put it, “stricter discipline” and “coordination”.

“There is no coordination and lots of statements are being made without prior agreement and I guess many of [GD lawmakers] do not even read my statements anymore and MPs take different positions. It’s normal – many [government members] are for the first time in the government and there are also many new lawmakers,” PM Ivanishvili told journalists before the meeting in the Parliament in Kutaisi.

After the meeting the Prime Minister also said that “coordination between the government and the Parliament” was among the issues discussed; he also said that “discipline within the coalition is weak”. “It should get stricter,” he added.
