Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is in Munich attending annual security conference.

On the sideline of the conference, Panjikidze met on February 1 with outgoing Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel Daniel Ayalon, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

On February 2 Panjikidze will speak at a breakout session on security and stability in south-eastern Europe and Caucasus.

Before Munich, Panjikidze visited Tallinn where she held talks with Estonian leadership. Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves reiterated on January 31 his country’s support to Georgia NATO and European aspirations and said that Georgia’s readiness to join these organizations “must be judged solely on Georgia's own performance and achievements, opinions from outside the European Union and NATO cannot influence this.”
