Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 8 Feb.'13 / 21:05

Protesters are now gathered outside the presidential palace from where President Saakashvili is about to start his televised address to the nation.

Saakashvili was initially planning to make the address from the National Library, but he canceled his visit there because of chaotic scenes as angry crowd assaulted some UNM lawmakers and their supporters and prevented them from approaching the library’s main entrance.

After learning that the President decided to make his address from his office, protesters dispersed outside the National Library, but some of them moved towards the presidential palace.
