Andro Barnovi, former governor of Shida Kartli region, has been appointed as chief of President’s administration replacing Davit Tkeshelashvili, who held the post since 2010.

Barnovi served as Shida Kartli governor since January, 2013. He was deputy defense minister in 2011-2012 and rector of National Defense Academy in 2010-2012.

President has yet to appoint new governor of Shida Kartli region.
