April GDP Growth 4.1% - Preliminary Data

Georgia’s economic growth accelerated to 4.1% year-on-year in April after only 0.4% growth in March, according to preliminary data released by the state statistics office, Geostat, on May 30.

Geostat has revised slightly upwards its preliminary data for the 2013 first quarter growth from initially reported 1.7% to 1.9%.

According to revised preliminary data real GDP grew 3.1% y/y in January, slowing down to 2.2% in February and 0.4% in March.
