Presidential Elections Set for October 27

President Saakashvili set October 27, 2013 as the date for the presidential elections.

Saakashvili signed on July 1 decree on setting presidential date, his spokesperson said.

According to the constitution presidential elections should be held in October. It’s up to the incumbent President to choose an exact date. According to the law the date should be announced no later than sixty days before the elections.
