Georgia’s annual inflation fell again into negative territory to -0.2% in July after 0.2% y/y inflation in June, according to the state statistics office Geostat. On monthly basis there was a 1.3% deflation in July, according to Geostat figures released on Friday. Prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages were down by 1.1% y/y in July and prices in transport group fell 2.9% y/y. Prices on healthcare services increased 5.6% y/y and hotels and restaurants prices increased 3.9%. |
