Georgia’s real GDP grew 1.1% year-on-year in August after 0.8% y/y growth in July, according to preliminary data released by the state statistics office, Geostat, on Monday. Growth for the first eight months of 2013 was 1.6%, according to preliminary figures. Lawmakers are expected to debate about the economic situation in the country at a parliamentary session on October 1 upon the request of the UNM parliamentary minority group. |
