Georgian, Moldovan FMs Pledge Cooperation in European Integration

Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and her Moldovan counterpart Natalia Gherman signed in Chisinau on October 5 a joint statement on cooperation in two country’s European integration process.

European integration, especially in the context of upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November, was the focus of discussions during Panjikidze’s meeting with the Moldovan leadership, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The Georgian Foreign Minister met on October 4 Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti and parliament speaker Igor Corman. On October 4 she also spoke at the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Chisinau. She met Moldovan PM Iurie Leancă on October 5.
