CEC: 10am Voter Turnout 6.8%

6.8% of voters turned out at the polling stations across the country as of 10am, two hours after the precincts were opened for Sunday’s presidential vote, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

In October, 2012 parliamentary elections voter turnout at 10am was 10.3%.

“Electoral process is ongoing in calm atmosphere without any major incidents. No major violations were reported and most of the procedural violations reported so far have already been resolved,” CEC spokesperson Eka Azarashvili said.
