CEC: Voter Turnout 39% at 5pm

Voter turnout three hours before closing of polling stations was 39.07%, according to the Central Election Commission.

The figure by the same time in last year’s parliamentary vote stood at 53%.

CEC spokesperson, Eka Azarashvili, said “no significant violations” are reported, but she also said that a ballot box was “damaged” by a voter at a polling station No.9 in Zestaponi in Imereti region, where voting was suspended; she said that the local District Election Commission will decide how to proceed further with the voting process.
