Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated Giorgi Margvelashvili on victory in the October 27 presidential election and wished him “success and continued strength at this time of great importance to Georgia.”

“Your country has passed yet another test of democracy and therefore I sincerely hope that together we will be able to evaluate Georgia's European choice at the forthcoming Vilnius Summit,” the Lithuanian President wrote in her message of congratulations and invited Margvelashvili to the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius to be held in late November.
