U.S. Assistant Secretary of State to visit Georgia

Victoria Nuland, the U.S. assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, will visit Tbilisi on December 6 as part of her trip which also includes visits to Belgium, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia.

In Tbilisi she will meet senior government officials and opposition leaders to discuss bilateral and regional issues and Georgia’s path toward Europe and will also participate in a disability rights event, the Department of State said on Monday.

Before Tbilisi Nuland will visit Brussels, where she will accompany Secretary of State John Kerry to the NATO ministerial meeting; after Brussels she will accompany Kerry to Moldova. Nuland will be in Ukraine for OSCE ministerial meeting in Kiev on December 5. After visiting Tbilisi, Nuland will head to Moscow.
