Georgian FM Meets UK Foreign Secretary in Brussels

Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze met on Tuesday her British counterpart William Hague in Brussels, where NATO foreign ministers are gathered for a two-day meeting, which will also include NATO-Georgia Commission session on Wednesday.

Panjikidze said after the meeting that bilateral cooperation, as well as Georgia’s NATO and EU integration was discussed. She also said that the British Foreign Secretary will visit Georgia “soon.”

Meanwhile, UK Minister for Europe David Lidington is visiting Tbilisi on April 1-2. On Tuesday he met PM Irakli Garibashvili and other officials, as well as head of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Ilia II.
