A meeting of Georgian and Russian diplomats, delayed twice last month, will be held in Prague on April 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

This format of dialogue between the two countries, led by Georgian PM’s special envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze and Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, was launched in December, 2012 to address issues related mainly to trade, economy and people-to-people contacts.

“It will be the sixth meeting in frames of an informal Georgian-Russian dialogue on normalizing the relations, which was launched in December 2012 and which has already proven its necessity,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said on April 11.

“During the meeting positive results, achieved in the spheres of trade, transportation, humanitarian relations, will be analyzed and further perspectives of bilateral dialogue will be discussed,” it said.
