Elguja Khokrishvili, an executive director at the state-run Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, was named as a new Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure.

Khokrishvili is replacing Davit Narmania, who is running for Tbilisi mayoral office as ruling Georgian Dream coalition’s candidate.

“He [Khokrishvili] has an excellent qualification, excellent education and experience, as well as all the necessary skills to successfully lead the ministry,” PM Irakli Garibashvili said on April 14 while presenting the new minister.
