Security Chief Replaced in Breakaway S.Ossetia

Leader of breakaway South Ossetia, Leonid Tibilov, sent chief of state security service, KGB, Boris Attoev, who led the agency since November 2006, into retirement, South Ossetian news agency, RES, reported on April 21.

Tibilov, who led the breakaway region’s security service in 1990s, appointed Viktor Shargaev as new head of KGB; no information about Shargaev is reported.
