Incident Reported at Polling Station in Western Georgia

Central Election Commission reported that unknown group of people “broke into” polling station No.22 of Khoni municipality in western Georgian region of Imereti and “smashed ballot box.”

“Law enforcement officers are there and studying the case. We will provide more details later,” CEC spokesperson said at a news conference at 10pm on Sunday.

The polling station in question is located in the village of Dzedzileti, where 399 voters are registered.
