District Election Commission in Marneuli has annulled votes from precincts No. 57 and No. 25 following ballot stuffing reports, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Returns from all 86 precincts in Marneuli municipality of Kvemo Kartli region showed GD’s candidate for gamgebeli post, Merab Topchishvili, leading with 51.81% of votes, followed by UNM’s candidate Akmamed Imamquliyev with 31.74%.

Annulment of results from two precincts is not likely to cause holding of repeat elections at those two polling stations, according to election administration officials.
