Romania became the first EU-member state to ratify EU’s Association Agreements with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, which were signed in Brussels on June 27. Upper house of the Romanian legislative body, Senate, ratified the agreements at a session on July 3, a day after relevant legislation was passed by the lower house of the parliament, Chamber of Deputies. Parliament in Moldova ratified its Association Agreement with the EU on July 2 and the Parliament in Georgia plans to ratify the document later this month. |
