Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association, which is monitoring electoral process, reported about verbal confrontation between GD and UNM activists in a vicinity of a building housing three polling stations in Krtsanisi district of Tbilisi. It also said that there was a brief scuffle between activists from these two parties outside a building housing three polling stations in Tbilisi’s Nadzaladevi district. An incident also occurred outside polling station No.79 in the town of Rustavi, where a representative from UNM-affiliated group said she was prevented by GD activists, mobilized outside the polling station, to film them on camera. GYLA called on the law enforcement agencies to react promptly to these incidents. Election administration representatives said those incidents did not disrupt voting process in those polling stations.

UNM accused GD activists of resorting to “violence” and the police of bias against UNM activists while reacting on these incidents. GD accused the opposition party of trying to stir “disorders” in an attempt to "discredit" elections and to divert attention from UNM’s “inevitable defeat” in runoffs. CEC called on the parties to contribute to keeping calm situation outside polling stations.

Total of 1,715,514 voters are registered at those 1,525 polling stations where second round of local elections are ongoing.
