Georgia’s real GDP grew 6% year-on-year in the first six months of 2014, according to preliminary data released by the state statistics office, Geostat, on July 31.

Economy grew 5.1% y/y in the second quarter of 2014 after 7.1% y/y growth in the first quarter, according to Geostat.

The government forecasts 5% economic growth in 2014.
