Georgian PM Speaks by Phone with German Chancellor

Georgian prime minister’s office said on August 21 that PM Irakli Garibashvili spoke by phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“Situation in the region was discussed,” the Georgian PM’s office said. “NATO summit in Wales [in early September] was one of the main topics of discussion… The Georgian PM thanked the German Chancellor for her support.”

According to the Georgian PM’s office the German Chancellor, who met PM Garibashvili in Berlin on June 2, may pay an official visit to Georgia in spring, 2015.
