Latvian President Visits Georgia

President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš arrived in Tbilisi on Tuesday evening for a two-day official visit.

The Latvian delegation includes eight government members, among them ministers of foreign affairs, defense, interior, education, economy, agriculture, transport and culture.

Over 70 representatives of the Latvian business community are also in the delegation to participate in business forums in Tbilisi and Batumi, according to the Latvian economy ministry.

President Bērziņš, whose country will be holding EU’s rotating presidency for the first half of 2015, will meet his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Margvelashvili on November 26 and next day the two presidents will visit Batumi, the main town of Adjara Autonomous Republic, on Georgia’s Black Sea coast.
