Georgian FM Meets NATO Secretary General

Georgian Foreign Minister, Tamar Beruchashvili, met on December 3 NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels.

Beruchashvili said after the meeting that “regional security challenges”, among them Russia’s new treaty with breakaway Abkhazia, and implementation of package of enhanced cooperation, which was agreed at the NATO Wales summit in September, were discussed.

NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, James Appathurai, will be visiting Tbilisi to hold meetings with the Georgian leadership, as well as opposition representatives, on December 4.
