PM Discusses Ukraine with Senior Officials

Georgian-Ukrainian relations and issues of regional security were discussed at a meeting with Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili and Georgia’s ambassador to Ukraine Mikheil Ukleba on December 27.

PM’s press office said that the Georgian ambassador briefed the PM about developments in Ukraine. “PM’s planned visit to Ukraine, as well as visits of other government officials was also discussed at the meeting,” it said. No date of PM’s possible visit to Ukraine has yet been set.

Foreign Minister’s two deputies and secretary of the State Security and Crisis Management Council, Davit Sujashvili, were also present at the meeting.

“Developing and deepening relations with Ukraine is very important taking into view challenges in the region and Europe,” Foreign Minister Beruchashvili said, adding that next year will start with “serious dynamic” in bilateral relations.
