Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Alexander Vershbow, met Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Davit Bakradze and Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Dondua in Brussels on January 14.

A NATO-Georgia Commission meeting at the ambassadorial level was also held, which discussed assessment document of the Georgia’s 2014 Annual National Program (ANP). ANP was introduced in late 2008 through which reform targets are being set by the Georgian government and then reviewed annually by NATO.

“NATO is fully committed to Georgia’s future membership. All tools are in place to move forward with Georgia’s aspirations,” Vershbow wrote on Twitter, adding that NATO and Georgia have “robust partnership” with “high degree of interoperability of forces.”
