Annual inflation was 1.3% in February, after 1.4% in January, according to the Georgian state statistics office, Geostat.

On monthly bases inflation stood at 0.1%.

Prices on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes rose by 8.1% year-on-year in February and annual inflation in healthcare was 6.4%. Prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.9% y/y in February.

There was 7.8% y/y decline in prices in transport group and prices on clothing and footwear dipped by 5.4% y/y in February.
