The Italian Senate ratified on November 26 EU’s Association Agreements with Georgia, four months after it was endorsed by the lower house, Chamber of Deputies.

Italy became the 27th EU-member state to endorse Georgia’s Association Agreement, which also includes deep and comprehensive free trade treaty, signed with the EU in June, 2014.

Belgium is the only EU-member state, which has not yet completed ratification of Georgia’s Association Agreement with the EU, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The Georgian Parliament ratified the agreement on July 18, 2014, and the European Parliament ratified the treaty on December 18, 2014. A large part of the agreement has been provisionally applied since September 1, 2014.
