Georgia’s PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili said Tbilisi is following developments in neighboring Turkey, where coup attempt is underway, with “great concern”. “Control on boarders has been tightened. We will probably close all the border crossing points with Turkey soon. So far there is no turmoil in northeastern parts of Turkey, which border with Georgia. On our side the situation is under control,” the PM said. He also said that flights to Turkey have been “suspended”. Flights to and from Istanbul are among the busiest at the Tbilisi International Airport. |
