(Tbilisi. March 13, 2003. Civil Georgia) - New Georgian TV channel Imedi (Hope) launched its full scale broadcasting. Badri Patarkatsishvili is the Deputy General Manager of the TV channel.

Badri Patarkatsishvili, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian TV-6 channel and aide to Russia's financial tycoon Boris Berezovsky, is wanted by Russia.

“A new TV channel will voice the political ideas, which are of Georgia’s interests,” Badri Patarkatsishvili said at the news briefing today.

In November 2001, Russian General Prosecutor’s Office requested Georgia to extradite Patarkatsishvili, who is wanted for alleged fraud.

Berezovsky and his associates – particularly his aide Badri Patarkatsishvili – are accused for misappropriation of 2,033 automobiles belonging to the LogoVAZ, which was formerly Russia's largest automobile dealer and which was controlled by now-disgraced oligarch Boris Berezovsky.
