Iranian Vice-President Visits Georgia

Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Aref, accompanied by a group of Iranian businessmen, will arrive in Georgia on April 25 for a two-day visit to participate in the Iranian-Georgian business forum, the Georgian media reported.

Iranian news agency IRNA reported that economic cooperation and the boosting of bilateral trade, which currently amounts to about USD 45 million, will be discussed during the visit.

Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri said in mid-April that the Georgian side will push the issue of importing Iranian gas to Georgia during the visit of Iranian Vice-President in Tbilisi.
