Slightly Reshuffled Cabinet Officially Nominated

The Parliamentary Bureau, which sets up the legislative body’s agenda, will discuss on July 22 a new cabinet, which features only two new members.

Merab Antadze, currently Deputy Foreign Minister, is nominated as State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues replacing Giorgi Khaindrava and MP Davit Tkeshelashvili is nominated as Environment Minister replacing Giorgi Papuashvili. The latter is now nominated as a new member of the Constitutional Court.

All other ministers retain their position:
 
Zurab Nogaideli – Prime Minister;
Vano Merabishvili – the Interior Minister;
Irakli Okruashvili – the Defense Minister;
Gela Bezhuashvili – the Foreign Minister;
Gia Kavtaradze – the Justice Minister;
Lexo Alexishvili - the Minister of Finance;
Nika Gilauri – the Energy Minister;
Lado Chipashvili –the Healthcare Minister;
Kakha Lomaia – the Minister of Education and Science;
Goka Gabashvili – the Minister of Culture and Sport;
Giorgi Kheviashvili – the Minister of Refugees and Accommodation;
Zinaida Bestaeva - the State Minister for Civil Integration Issues;
Giorgi Baramidze – the State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues;
Kakha Bendukidze – the State Minister for Economic Reforms.
 
The Parliament will apparently vote for the new cabinet at a session on July 24.
