Four senior officers of the Russian armed forces are missing in Georgia, the RIA Novosti news agency reported on September 27, quoting officials from the Russian Embassy in Tbilisi.

Two officers are serving at the Russian military base in Batumi and two others are based at the headquarters of the Russian Troops in Trans-Caucasus in Tbilisi.

“We know nothing about their whereabouts,” a source in the Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti.
