Total number of people killed since the launch of the armed conflict reached 215 on the Georgian side as of August 19, MP Givi Targamadze, the chairman of parliamentary committee for defense and security, said.
69 of them are civilians, he said on August 19.
133 killed are the Georgian Ministry of Defense personnel, including four servicemen of the reserve troops and 13 – the Interior Ministry personnel.
70 soldiers are missing, MP Givi Targamadze said.
He also said that over 1,469 people were injured and 446 of them remain at the moment in hospitals.
