PM Grigol Mgaloblishvili is expecting to arrive back to Georgia from Germany this week, his spokesman told Civil.Ge on January 5.

The government said in a statement last week that the Prime Minister had left for Germany for medical examination as “a renal [kidney] problem has emerged in the light of the Prime Minister’s tiredness.”

The PM’s departure to Germany has coincided with rumors about his intention to resign; his office has denied the speculation. The PM's office has failed to give the name of the clinic in Germany where the PM is undergoing medical examination.
