Thousands of protesters are gathered outside the Parliament as the opposition leaders are starting what they call “a new wave” of protests to force President Saakashvili to resign.

“Our struggle will end soon,” Levan Gachechiladze, an opposition politician, told the rally. “Saakashvili should resign; he is not part of Georgia’s future.”

He said that at 4pm the opposition leaders will announce the action plan and details of how the opposition parties intend to proceed further with the rallies.
