Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 1 Sep.'10 / 14:38

PM’s office has denied recent press speculation, that several ministers are expected to be replaced.

“In order to put an end to this speculation, I was authorized by the PM to state that no staff changes are planned in the government in the near future,” Nikoloz Mchedlishvili, PM’s spokesman, said on September 1.

Healthcare Minister, Alexandre Kvitashvili, resigned on August 31 to take the post of an acting rector of Tbilisi State University. PM Nika Gilauri said he would name the new minister next week.

Speculation about replacement of the healthcare minister was circulating time after time in the Georgian press recently.
