Lawmakers from the ruling party sacked from their ranks MP Tamaz Diasamidze, citing disagreements on key issues.
Speculation about anticipated dismissal of MP Diasamidze from the ruling party emerged after he voted against the recent constitutional amendments.
“He [MP Diasamidze] was not supporting issues which we deemed very important for our country,” MP Petre Tsiskarishvili, the leader of parliamentary majority, told journalists after the decision was announced.
MP Diasamidze was the ruling party lawmaker since 2004.
