(Tbilisi, August 24 2002, Civil Georgia) Spokesperson of the Georgian President Kakha Imnadze stated that Georgian president has informed his Russian colleague on police operation in Pankisi and possible movements of groups of Chechens along the Russo-Georgian border one week in advance.Imnadze stated that Georgian official agencies and special services fully informed Russian authorities on planned operations. He stated that in this light today's bombardment of the Georgian villages is an apalling fact.
