Georgian Economy, Energy Ministers Visit Ukraine

Georgia’s economy and energy ministers, Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Kakha Kaladze, respectively, are visiting Kiev where they met Ukraine’s economy minister Aivaras Abromavičius on January 30.

Kaladze and Kvirikashvili, who also serve as vice premiers in the Georgian government, will also meet Ukraine’s minister of energy and coal Vladimir Demchishin.

Georgia’s experience of relations with the EU, as well as tourism and efforts to intensify cooperation in energy, agriculture, transport, infrastructure sectors and improvement of bilateral legal framework were discussed during the meeting, according to the Ukrainian ministry of economic development and trade.

Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that it was agreed to hold Georgian-Ukrainian governmental commission meeting in Batumi, Georgia in June, 2015.
