Georgia Welcomes Iran Nuclear Deal
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 8 Apr.'15 / 13:15

Georgian Foreign Ministry said it welcomed the outcome of talks in Switzerland last week on Iran’s nuclear program and said the agreement on “key parameters” is an “important step towards peace and stability.”

“Georgian side expresses its satisfaction with the fact that the sides reached a consensus and agreed on solutions with regards to complex issues related to the Iran’s nuclear program. Georgian side expresses hope that based on the agreed parameters the sides will reach a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA] by the set date which will be suitable to all stakeholders. We hope that the process envisioned under the JCPOA will take place in full accordance with the agreement,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on April 6.

“The Ministry believes that the reached solutions represent an important step towards peace and stability in the region and the entire world and commends the involved Parties in the negotiations for their immense efforts to that effect,” it said.
