Blast Kills One in Tskhinvali

A 26-year-old resident of Tskhinvali was killed after two remote controlled explosive devices hit the victim’s car on July 25, the authorities in breakaway South Ossetia said.

The incident occurred in the outskirts of Tskhinvali on the road to the village of Nikozi at about 5:20pm local time, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported. The incident occurred just 300 meters from a Russian peacekeeper post. No other details were reported.

The Russian command of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces stationed in the South Ossetian conflict zone said on July 25 there had been twelve explosions involving remote control explosive devices this year in the conflict zone. Five people have been killed and over 25 wounded as a result.
