Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 5 Apr.'11 / 12:41

All the four crew members of UN plane, operated by the Georgian flag carrier Airzena Georgian Airways which crashed in capital of Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa, on April 4, were Georgian citizens.

UN said only one person out of 33 people onboard survived in the crash, which apparently was caused by bad weather condition.

Nino Giorgobiani, a spokesperson of the Georgian air carrier, said that last time CRJ-100 jet, which crashed in Kinshasa, had undergone thorough technical examination on December 22, 2010 and it had no technical problems.

Three CRJ-100 planes were added to the fleet of Airzena Georgian Airways in September, 2007.

The plane, which was carrying 29 passengers and four crew members, crashed while attempting to land in heavy rain at N’Djili airport. All but five of the passengers worked for the UN.

Four crew members were identified as Suliko Tsutskiridze, Albert Manukov, Guram Kepuladze and the crew captain Alexi Oganesian.
