Georgia’s monthly inflation was 0.4%, but annual inflation remained below zero at -1.7% in April, according to the state statistics official, Geostat.
Prices on fuel were down by 9.3% y/y in April and there was 3.7% y/y decline in prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Prices on healthcare services increased 3.9% y/y and prices on hotels and restaurants went up by 2.3% y/y in April, according to Geostat.
Georgia’s annual inflation was on downward trend after peaking 14.3% in May, 2011; annual inflation remained below zero for most of the 2012 with the same trend continuing this year.
