/ 2 Apr.'03 / 18:33

(Tbilisi. April 2, 2003. Civil Georgia) - Badri Patarkatsishvili, Tbilisi-based influential tycoon said today there are two political parties, which he wanted to see in the government – the New Rights and United Democrats opposition parties.

“I can not say other political groups that I wanted to come to power,” Badri Patarkatsishvili told the reporters after the meeting of the tax payers held on April 2.

The New Rights party’s leaders are also influential businessmen David Gamkrelidze and Levan Gachechiladze and the leader of the United Democrats is Zurab Zhvania, former Parliamentary Chairman.

Badri Patarkatsishvili, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian TV-6 channel and aide to Russia's financial tycoon Boris Berezovsky, runs a private TV channel in Tbilisi.

He is wanted by Russia together with Berezovsky, for misappropriation of 2,033 automobiles belonging to the LogoVAZ, which was formerly Russia's largest automobile dealer and which was controlled by now-disgraced oligarch Boris Berezovsky.
