23 Dec. '07 |   CEC elected three PEC members in Iraq and Kosovo
Tbilisi, 23. 12.07 - At the session the CEC elected three PEC members in each precinct election commission created in purpose to provide Georgian citizens serving in Georgian Peaceful Battalions located to Iraq and Kosovo with possibility for exercising the right to vote in extraordinary presidential elections and plebiscites of 5 January 2008. The rest of PEC members will be appointed by the following political parties: National Movement, Georgian Labour Party, Political Movement "Freedom” and Political Union "New Rights”.
According to the CEC decision, the commission shall appoint CEC representatives at appropriate election districts and precincts for the January 5, 2008 Extraordinary Elections of the President of Georgia and Plebiscites.
 
The commission announced a competition for selection of members of commission for precincts established abroad for extraordinary presidential elections of 5 January 2008.
 
The CEC made amendments to attachment approved by the decree No 16/2007, dated 14 February 2007, issued by CEC "On approval of CEC budget by articles of expenses and quarters”.
