27 Dec. '07 |   Central Election Commission opens Media Centre
Tbilisi 12/26/07 - The Central Election Commission opened a Media Centre to support the role of media organizations in providing an effective, timely and accurate coverage of the electoral process.
 
The Media Center will be open to accredited national and international media as well as observers. It hosts a reception, broadcasting and interviewing room, press briefing room and business-center-like services, including workstations with 20 computers, internet service, WiFi access, phones, faxes, scanner and copying machine, television, etc.
 
The Media Center is located on Gagarini St. No. 29 and will be open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and beyond when CEC sessions are held late as well as from elections day through publication of results. The reception’s telephone number is +995-3-389331.
 
The Media Center is an important step in reaching to the public in general and the electorate in particular. It will be run by the CEC Press and PR Office and will constitute the main venue for press conferences, briefings, dissemination of voter’s information, and distribution of public information materials.
